Location #2!!!

Burns Family Artisan Ales is expanding!

“We always envisioned being in another location with higher visibility,” says Wayne Burns, Owner and Master Brewer at Burns Family Artisan Ales. “This is the perfect opportunity to move into a turn-key brewery with excellent brewing equipment and quality build-out formerly run by a good friend and trusted brewing professional. It is easy to walk in and create our brand here.”

Where?

1236 South Broadway in Denver. The former Dos Luces Brewery is now the Burns Family Artisan Ales TapHouse. Burns Family Artisan Ales’ original location at 2505 West 2nd Ave, Unit 13, Denver will remain up and running, but now will be called the Burns Family Artisan Ales BarrelHouse.

The TapHouse is structured to appeal to a neighborhood with higher traffic; a neighborhood distinctly filled with breweries, restaurants, bars and retail in close proximity. “We will offer a majority of lower abv beers on tap; reserving two taplines for barrel aged stout and strong Belgian beers. Our higher abv offerings can be purchased from an extensive bottle list for consumption in the TapHouse, or to take home,” says Managing Director and Owner Laura Worley. “We’ll be able to do things people have been requesting of us, like allowing children on premise until 5pm, and offering select flights/taster trays for sampling.” Current BFAA staff (plus one) will be go-to beertenders at the TapHouse – providing the same high-quality service and passionate craft beer encounters customers have learned is a hallmark of beer experiences at Burns Family Artisan Ales.

Conversely, the BarrelHouse will showcase more high-abv beers on tap, with a consistent four to five taps dedicated to lighter offerings. An extensive bottle list will also be available at the BarrelHouse. Wayne and Laura will largely be staffing the BarrelHouse for the time being, so folks can have a location to chat with the owners and brewers about all things beer.

Events will be balanced between the two locations, as space and activities dictate. For example, the upcoming Squash Killer (pumpkin smashing) event (Oct 28) will be held at the BarrelHouse. There is a mid-week masquerade ball planned at the TapHouse on November 1.

But enough about style, the plans for opening the TapHouse doors are as truly unique and thoughtful as all Burns Family Artisan Ales parties.

On October 18, from 3 – 9pm, the Burns Family Artisan Ales team will welcome folx into the new location for WALK-IN DAY.

General Manager Beth Walter says: “Literally, this is the day we walk into the brewery and can start pouring Burns Family Artisan Ales beers. Everything about this new space will be undergoing transformation in real time, and this is the first day on South Broadway for all of us. On Walk-In Day, we are collecting new or gently used shoes to donate to the good works of Soles4Souls, who provide shoes to folks who need them and help create microenterprise for underserved populations. People who donate shoes will receive 25% off a full pour. We’ll provide soul-food snacks and soulful music.”

Get your saunter on for more storied celebration of brewing history, style, invention and skill; Burns Family Artisan Ales is in a can’t miss second location. WALK-IN DAY is Wednesday, October 18, 3-9p at the Burns Family Artisan Ales TapHouse, 1236 S. Broadway, Denver CO.
